An independent technology newsroom and cyber intelligence platform for people who build and defend software.
Last updated
Lunaro News is an independent technology newsroom and cyber intelligence platform covering cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, Linux, privacy, and programming. We publish reported articles and analysis alongside a continuously updated intelligence layer that tracks vulnerabilities, advisories, and incidents as they are disclosed.
We exist because most technology coverage is written either for a general audience that will never touch a terminal, or for a specialist audience that already knows the answer. Lunaro is written for the people in between: engineers, security practitioners, and technical decision-makers who need to understand what happened, why it matters, and what — if anything — they should do about it before the end of the day.
Every article is written by a named human being with a documented background in the subject. We do not publish AI-generated articles under human bylines, and we do not republish other publications' work as our own.
Most technology publications treat a security advisory and a product launch as the same kind of story. We don't. Coverage that carries operational urgency — an actively exploited vulnerability, a supply-chain compromise — is tagged, scored, and surfaced differently from analysis you can read at your leisure.
That's what the intelligence layer is for. Every article carries an Article Intelligence panel stating the estimated impact, affected platforms, target audience, and technical difficulty, so you can decide in five seconds whether a story is your problem today or background reading for the weekend.
We also show our work on sourcing. Each article displays a source badge indicating whether the underlying material is an official advisory, a peer-reviewed research paper, a vendor blog post, or a community report — because those four things warrant four different levels of confidence, and collapsing them into an undifferentiated 'sources say' does readers a disservice.
Lunaro News publishes in five permanent sections:
Alongside our written coverage, Lunaro maintains an automatically updated intelligence layer: a CVE Center tracking recently published and recently revised vulnerabilities, a global threat level derived from current disclosure activity, and a live feed aggregating headlines from established security and technology publishers.
The aggregated feed links to original sources. We surface headlines and short summaries and send readers to the publisher who did the work — we do not reproduce other outlets' article text.
Vulnerability data is sourced from the public National Vulnerability Database. Where we have published our own coverage of a tracked CVE, the entry links to it.
Lunaro News is independently operated. Editorial decisions are made by the newsroom and are not subject to approval by advertisers, sponsors, or commercial partners.
Where we accept advertising or sponsorship, it is labeled as such and visually distinct from editorial content. We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage, favorable framing, or the removal of published reporting. See our Editorial Standards for the full policy.
