What Lunaro News collects, what it doesn't, and what stays on your device.
Last updated
Lunaro News has no user accounts, no login, and no database of readers. We do not ask for your name, your email address (unless you choose to subscribe to our newsletter), or any other identifying information in order to read the site.
The features that look like they need an account — saved articles, your theme preference, your recent searches — are stored in your own browser using localStorage. That data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser storage deletes it permanently, and we have no copy.
The detail below explains this in full, but that is genuinely the whole picture.
The following is written to your browser's localStorage and is readable only by your browser on this site. None of it is sent to Lunaro News or any third party:
As with any website, some information reaches our hosting provider automatically when you request a page:
Lunaro News does not set advertising cookies, does not use third-party tracking pixels, and does not participate in cross-site behavioural advertising networks.
Where advertising appears on the site, it is served without third-party tracking — see our Advertise page for the full commitment.
The site registers a service worker to enable offline reading. It caches pages you have visited in your browser's cache storage so they remain readable without a connection. This is local caching only and reports nothing back to us.
We rely on a small number of external services, each of which may process request data as described above:
Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you rights over personal data we hold. Because we hold almost none, most of these resolve quickly:
Privacy enquiries and data rights requests can be sent to privacy@lunaro.news. We aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or UK and are dissatisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
No. Lunaro News does not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioural advertising, and does not build per-reader profiles. Only aggregate, non-identifying traffic counts are used to understand which articles are read.
Saved articles are stored in your own browser's localStorage and never leave your device. Lunaro News has no user accounts and keeps no server-side copy, which also means saved articles do not sync between devices and are permanently deleted if you clear your browser storage.
No. Lunaro News has no user accounts, no login, and no registration requirement. All articles and intelligence data are free to read without providing any personal information.
